Name: Lennox
Gedner: Female
Age: 11 months
Breed: Border Collie
Weight: 27lbs
Disability: deaf and vision impaired
Dogs: yes
Cats: yes
Kids: yes
Socialization/training: Lennox loves attention and is a petite package! At first she acts shy until she knows you want to pet her, then she will go up to everyone in the room asking for love. She warms up fairly quickly! She has the best and slightest underbite, adding so much character to her expressions. Lennox is learning some touch commands such as sit, down and stay. She does best with touch commands rather than hand signals because her attention span doesn't last very long! She's made best friends with her fosters aussie, as they do everything together. Lennox loves to share toys but also plays the keep-away game. She likes to run around the fenced in yard with her fur siblings also. She is curious of cats but does not try to catch them. Once they are out of her eyesight, she forgets they exist and goes along with her business. When she sees a cat, she wants to know everything about them. Lennox likes to play for as long as you will let her. She will settle when her other fur siblings are tired of playing or just play solo with her toys.
Crate trained: Yes. She is crated at night or when her humans aren't home. She would much rather be out and free with her fur siblings and humans than in her crate but she knows that is her bed at night in her foster home. It may take her some time to settle when outside of her crate probably due to her attention span being so short. She settles shortly when she is in her
crate at night.
Leash trained: She does well on a leash and harness. Much like a puppy, she will get spurts ofexcitement and try to run but it is easily corrected. She cannot see things at a distance. She does not try to chase anything but she does like to stop and smell all the scents for as long as
you will let her.
Fence: She has been perfect in her fosters backyard with a 6 ft. privacy fence. No digging or jumping/climbing. We think she would prefer being able to run in a fenced in yard but would also love the stimulation of a leash walk.
