Socialization/training: Waffles is an incredibly friendly, playful puppy! He is very calm and quiet, but LOVES everyone he meets. He adores children of all ages and loves playing with his sister and foster siblings. He is still working on commands and potty training, but is very treat motivated (loves peanut butter!) and has just started crying at the door when he needs to go out. He will also use puppy pads.
Crate trained: Waffles is crated during the day with his sister while his foster is at work. He is usually crated for about 3-4 hours. He does not cry and goes in willingly. He settles right in and often naps during this time.
Leash trained: This skill is a work in progress
Activity Level: Waffles is a typical energetic puppy. He loves to run and play with dogs, kids, and toys. He enjoys wrestling with all the other dogs in the house, as well as chewing on bones and soft toys. He really enjoys running in the backyard and exploring! In typical puppy fashion, he takes a nap (and loves snuggles!) after each activity.
Fence: While Waffles is small, a fenced in yard/area would be ideal as he is FAST! He loves to run and play and will explore any “hole” or gap in the fence.
Behavior: Waffles is so sweet. He has a very calm and quiet demeaner. He gets excited every time kids or visitors arrive. He cries with excitement when we get home and let him out of the crate. He is very playful and will chase balls, bones, and toys! We will often find Waffles sleeping quietly under a chair/table OR playing in the same room as the other dogs.
Medical History: Waffles has one slight lazy eye, irregular size pupils, and some light sensitivity, but can see well!
Foster Comments: Waffles would do well in a home with children and other animals. He LOVES to play and snuggle. He would likely benefit from being around another dog to help him learn the ropes and burn off some energy.
Foster Location: Cincinnati, Ohio
