Rose came to us along with her sister, Petunia, from a shelter in Kansas. They traveled a long way to get here so they could find their special homes.
Socialization/training: Rose has been well socialized with dogs, cats and children since arriving to the rescue. She knows to go to her crate for meals and we are just starting on some basic commands training.
Crate trained: Rose is mostly crate trained. Right now she is crated with her sister so I am sure she will have an adjustment when going to her new home and it's very normal for puppies to cry in their crate when adjusting to a new home but they both settled in quickly here. They don't poop in their crate but their has been a couple pee accidents but it seems like they are improving as they get older.
Leash trained: They are not formally leash trained but they do well on a leash and don't pull much. My almost 2 year old toddler was able to walk them on a leash without much issue.
Activity Level: They are both pretty chill puppies although I would say Rose is the more active one. She definitely loves to run the fence with the other dogs and play more than her sister.
Fence: A fence is recommended for these two but isn't necessary for someone who is committed to decent length leash walks every day. They cannot be outside of a fence off-lead due to their impairments.
Behavior: Rose is a super sweet and loving dog with a heart for adventure. She loves rough housing with the other dogs and running full speed throughout the yard. She can play a little rough but is good at taking corrections. She is great with kids and other animals and I think she would do amazing in most active homes.
