I'm ready for my new family!

Delilah June

I'm Available

Socialization/training: Delilah is a very smart and friendly girl. She came to us from a rough situation, where she was neglected and abused (along with her other siblings), so she is reserved at first but is such a lover girl. She is still working on potty training but has gotten good at using her potty pads. She hasn’t been as interested in going potty outside in the colder weather. She learned her name very young/quickly and loves training/working with her people! Delilah knows no, sit, and lay down moderately! She is still a very young puppy who needs continuous training and work, although she has had a decent start! She is a very shy girl who will take time to adjust/decompress but I think once she is in her permanent home she will come out of her shell even more and her socialization will improve!

Crate trained: Yes, Delilah does not have accidents unless left unattended too long. She is a vocal girl but listens and settles quickly. Although, I have noticed she does much better in an x pen or pen type of set up rather than the crate and she is a good girl who does not escape!

Leash trained: moderate, she is very smart and getting the hang of it! She is still learning the ropes and will need to continue to work on it!
Activity Level: very high/active. She is a very playful and friendly girl and enjoys playing with other dogs, cats, and kids! She is, however, a shy girl and is still working on that!

Fence: Fence not required, she is leash walked but I do use an x pen/fencing and while she does jump onto it for attention sometimes, she has never tried to escape or had any issues in a fenced area! Delilah has an amazing recall.

Behavior: Overall, she is your typical puppy. A home with another dog would be great since she loves having friends around. She is very curious about cats and loves to play but does know her boundaries/when enough is enough. Delilah loves all kids, but she is still a baby herself with a lot of energy! She is very eager to learn, love and be a good girl. Since her sister, Goblin, lost her vision, they have been inseparable. She took the role of Goblin’s eyes very seriously and I noticed a switch from borderline littermate syndrome, where they were getting tired of each other very quickly, to very bonded sisters. Delilah helped guide her around and as soon as they are reunited from their separate areas they immediately choose to love on and play with each other instead of anyone else! She is 'protective' of the people and animals in her home, but she does not have a mean bone in her body! I feel she does have separation anxiety that will continue to need work. She really could do amazing things if she gets the proper training! She is the absolute sweetest girl!!
