Omelette was pulled from a shelter along with her brother after being discovered that they are double merle. She is currently being fostered with one of our amazing PHR approved trainers and is doing wonderfully. It also has been discovered that she most likely has dwarfism but this doesn't slow her down at all! If anything she has a new trick with playing where she can run under the legs of a golden retriever without any issue. So if you have ever wanted a mini border collie this may be your opportunity!
Socialization/training: has been raised in a group of stunt dogs- which means she’s a very confident girl. She thinks everything is a jungle gym. Has been in loud overstimulating environments and does really well. Will freeze if scared but works through everything for food. Can walk on a leash - can hesitate at doorways as they’re a bit dark.
Crate trained: yes, but we always tell people to expect a little bit of regression with crate training when a dog adjusts to a new home.
Leash trained: yes, she is doing great on a leash but since she is still a puppy she will need to be continued to be worked with to keep up this skill.
Activity Level: active family / beginner sport home
Despite her disabilities we believe Omelette would thrive in a sport home or very active family. She may not be the most competitive due to her dwarfism but she would definitely enjoy high drive, high energy activities with her new family.
Fence: Not absolutely necessary and has been doing whistle recalls and responds to training very well however we do recommend a fenced in yard for safety reasons due to her limited vision and her high energy
Behavior: wants a job! She loves to use her brain and is a high energy girl. She would be a great agility, rally, disc, and dock diving dogs. I can see her getting destructive if she doesn’t have a proper outlet so she will need to go to a family that fits her needs!
