Socialization/training: Camilla hasn't mastered commands yet. Absolutely LOVES other dogs. 100% needs friends in her home or maybe the ability to attend daycare several times a week. Preferably her size or larger as she likes to play rough and she could accidentally hurt a smaller dog trying to play. Her love for people knows no bounds—never meeting a stranger, she adores socializing. Embracing men, kids, and dogs of all ages, she's an absolute joy. While she may not pay much attention to cats, it's best if her furry friends are her size or larger, as she revels in lively play. Cats she doesn’t seem to mind, however she would probably do best without cats who are more timid or lively. Cats that are just background noise to a home or who stand their ground to a young dog still learning her boundaries. Indoors, she's a bit of a chewer and not to be trusted unattended due to her hound instincts. Still, she's a cuddly couch enthusiast who's head over heels for toys. Adventurous at heart, she's ready for any escapade life throws her way, even if she's a bit clueless at times.
Crate trained: Camilla is crated at night and during work hours, or whenever an eye can’t be kept on her mischief. While she settles in swiftly, a hint of whining may accompany her desire for freedom. Capable of enduring up to 8 hours in a crate, she's not exactly a fan but can be persuaded with a tempting treat. Beware, though—outside the crate, she's a chewer and hasn't quite mastered the art of perfect potty training. Patience is key with this lovable, treat-motivated pup!
Leash trained: Camilla is a work in progress on leash walking and tends to pull a bit, her curiosity shines when it comes to birds and squirrels. Leash encounters with other dogs bring out her friendly side—non-reactive, she's always up for a tail-wagging hello.
Activity Level: Camilla is a true bundle of energy, thriving on walks and thrilling adventures. After a burst of activity, she happily settles down indoors. But don't be fooled—her love for play extends to both doggy companions and engaging puzzle toys.
Fence: While she's content on a leash, be mindful of her hound instincts—her nose might guide her off course. A 4 1/2-foot chain link fence suits her well, and she'd find added security with an invisible fence if a physical barrier is absent. No fence-climbing or jumping attempts have been observed.
Behavior: A lively burst of energy, she seamlessly balances excitement with a decent off switch, making her both thrilling and relaxed. Camilla is affectionate, playful, and sometimes a bit clueless, adding a touch of goofiness to her charm. Fearless and friendly, she's never met a stranger, making her the perfect companion. While cuddling is in her repertoire, Camilla leans towards independence, adding a delightful blend of affection and autonomy to your home life.
