Socialization/training: This gentle giant came to us after her owner could no longer afford to care for her and the other dogs in the home were bullying her. Ellie is a pretty calm, but social and pretty playful girl. She typically doesn’t instigate, but doesnt mind running laps or playing tag in the yard. She will sit perfectly still for grooming, including nail trimming, dremeling, brushing, and baths.. She is very accepting and welcoming to attention. She loves getting pets or belly rubs. She gets the zoomies a 1-2/day but they wear off quickly as she is ALWAYS ready for a good nap. Her original owner said she loves to go for walks and on car rides to get Starbucks. We are hoping for a nice retirement home for this gal.
Crate trained: She is trustworthy in or out of the crate. She is not destructive while her foster parents are away at work.
Leash trained: She walks calmly and well on a leash. She doesn’t pull or attempt to get off the leash

Activity Level: She definitely enjoys taking a few laps around the backyard or going on a walk. She prefers to play with other dogs or humans. She enjoys cuddling, or sitting on your lap. However, she is also content being a lazy girl. She will never turn down a nap.
Fence: A fence isn’t necessary, as she does good on a leash. She does enjoy running around the backyard occasionally, so even a long-line for far distance play could be beneficial. During
outdoor time, if she doesn’t want to play with our other dogs, she will sniff around/go potty, then lay on the outdoor pet bed near the backdoor and wait to come in. If we are hanging out in the backyard, she stays near us, and doesn’t venture too far from us.
Behavior: Ellie is a very sweet and calm dog. She tends to be a little more on the shy side, and may take some warming up to. She is affection driven, and loves attention from humans. She is housebroken

Foster comments: Ellie is the perfect dog. She’s so easy going and would be fine as an only dog or with other animals. As mentioned above she just wants to cuddle and be loved on. She truly loves her humans and will never pass up a chance to snuggle right on top of you.
