I'm ready for my new family!

Mojito

I'm Available

Mojito was adopted from our rescue back in 2018 by some friends of ours at the time. Unfortunately situations changed and the owner no longer felt they could properly care for her anymore without sacrificing their own mental health. We will always take back one of our rescue dogs regardless of the circumstances especially a dog like Mojito who we spent so much time with. Fun fact, Mojito was named after my favorite drink lol.

Socialization/training: Mojito has had an incredible amount of socialization. Her first dad was a dog groomer and was able to take her to daycare at his work every day. She also frequently went to breweries, local gyms, and all sort of places. I also trained her myself when she first came in and she is extremely smart. I taught her sit, stay, down, come, and up. She is a little rusty on her commands but I was working through them with her yesterday and she seemed to pick them back up very quickly. When she was a young pup she tended to be a little mischievous, I remember one time she got up on the dining room table and chewed up a bunch of papers lol. But it seems she has mellowed out quite a bit in her old age and is very calm and well behaved.

Crate trained: She is 100% crate trained, no crying, no accidents, some days we have to make her leave her crate because she would rather stay in bed and snooze lol.

Leash trained: Mojito is very well leash trained.

Activity Level: Mojito being a senior is pretty calm and relaxed. She mostly wants to cuddle up and watch TV with her person. She does still get spurts of energy and would benefit from leash walks a couple times a week but she is not a very high maintenance dog when it comes to activity level.

Fence: Mojito would do best with a fenced in yard since she is deaf and it's difficult to recall her. But she would do okay with someone who could take her out on leash walks too. For safety we don't recommend deaf dogs being let out off lead especially without supervision.

Behavior: Mojito is so sweet and just an absolute cuddle bug. She is the definition of a "Pibble". She is good with dogs, cats, kids, however in her older age we would recommend older kids who can respect her boundaries. She would do well in a home with another calm dog but probably would not be good for someone looking for a playmate for a younger or more energetic dog since she is definitely more people oriented and while she will play happily with other dogs her spurts of energy are short lived and then she is ready to lay down and take a nap.

If you are looking for a snuggle buddy to take walks with, chill on the couch, take with you out on drives and to dog friendly places, Mojito is the gal for you!
