Bio: This pup and his brother came to our care from a breeder in Missouri. The mom was visibly a blue Merle and the dad was the phenotype of a basic apricot poodle, thus a wonderful reminder of why ethical breeders should be color testing their stock. Little Reuben is the sweetest boy. He loves to be around his people and dog friends. He never barks except when he’s excited to leave his kennel. He is working on potty training and is doing very good but needs positive reinforcements. He is a very smart boy (he learned to sit in one day!) He is a true Velcro dog. Wherever you are is where he wants to be. He loves cuddles and prefers to be carried around and held so he would make a perfect apartment pet. He is not hyper and is usually found lying next to his foster siblings. He needs additional help learning how to walk on a leash because of his eyesight. He has very good hearing and will stop and listen to find you. He would do well with other pets in the home or he could be the only pet. Reuben is a little behind on puppy training and socializing but with the help of his foster home, is bouncing right back. However, a new family should be committed to ensuring he continues to grow up to be respectable and well adjusted with training and further socializing. This is a breed mix who will also require regular grooming every 6-8 weeks.
