Socialization/training: Yukon came to us from a family who allowed his parents to breed and then decided later he was too much work and chose to surrender him so he could find somewhere better suited. At around 6 months old, this is a critical period for his development. He's been learning basic commands and socializing with both people and other dogs. He's mastered sit and we're currently focusing on teaching him to come when signaled to. We're also working on discouraging him from jumping up on people, although he's very friendly and doesn't hesitate to approach strangers.
Crate trained: We're currently in the process of crate training him, although he isn't particularly fond of the crate at the moment.
Leash trained: He walks pretty decently on a leash. He does not try and chase birds or other animals. He likes to follow other dogs if that is an option.
Activity Level: He has that puppy energy and loves to play with other pups. He is also okay to to just chew on a toy. He gets excited jumps when you first get home/ let him out of his crate. He is a very excited and happy puppy.
Fence: A fence is not required.
Behavior: He is a very playful, goofy, and happy puppy. He just wants attention, love and alllll the toys. He loves everyone he meets and loves to follow you around to make sure he isn’t missing out on anything. He will need to continue his training to help him grow into the best pup he can be.
Medical History: No medical conditions. Has some crate anxiety and is taking fluoxetine (prozac) daily to help.
Foster Comments: Overall he is a happy, silly puppy. He is very food and attention motivated. He is a sweet guy and loves playing with other pups.
